Department Information
The PE department has three full time and one part time teachers and we teach a broad range of sports highlighted at the bottom of this document.
We have amazing facilities including:
- A large 9 badminton court sports dome which can also be used for many other activities such as trampolining, netball, basketball, football, table tennis, hockey, volleyball, short tennis, and many more.
- A 25m 4 lane indoor swimming pool
- A large playground that has:
7 full size tennis courts
2 Basketball courts
3 netball courts - A gymnasium with extensive gymnastic equipment that hosts our annual gym and dance show.
- A large sports field that includes a full size football and rugby pitch (which can also be converted to a 9 a-side U12’s football pitch and an U13’s full size football pitch and an astro-turf cricket wicket.
In the summer our field is transformed into a 400m 8 lane running track, with purpose built discus and shot put throwing areas, long jump pit and javelin throwing area. We host our annual sports day that is the traditional athletes day with students competing for their houses in a variety of track and field events on our own sports field.
Within the PE department we also have the Dance department who we work closely with who run an annual Dance show and collaborate with the PE department to run the annual Gym and Dance show.
